"The watershed encompasses an
area of approximately 1300 square miles, occupying about 12 percent
of Oregon’s Willamette basin. More than 80 percent of the
watershed lies within Lane County with the remaining portion in Linn
County. Bounded on the east by the crest of the Cascade Mountains,
the McKenzie watershed generally drains westward joining the
Willamette River, just north of the Eugene-Springfield metropolitan
area." |
